I love this sort of thing and find that here you have great details and interesting lines, both in the wood and the rope.

 

Trying to be at least a bit critical, I find the format (neither rectangular or square) a bit uneasy and would prefer one or the other. I think it works well too in square (cropping off on the left) leaving the bottom rope floating on its own. I'd also like a bit more space at the top, but I guess the planks ended there?

Thanks for your comments. Yes, the planks ended there. It's actually a rectangular proportioned to 8x10

It's like looking in a mirror. I have done some images with rope and wood recently. I prefer your wood grain pattern more. Good eye and well captured. Also "Thank You" for the recent comments on some of my photos.

This is really nice Ken - the detail on the wood and on the rope are very appealing. One small criticism - the rope at the bottom of the shot is very close to the edge of the picture; maybe a slightly wider crop would be better.
