From Soil to Barn

bentes_world

If anyone should think that this is inspired of Ken Williams they are so right. He's stills are faboulous but I hope this is my own style and I hope Ken will bare with me. I have come to think that doing stills are fun and a grest challenge. I have a barn with dirty walls and dirty windows and specially in summertime the light is quite good ... not too much and not too little ... and there is space so for building the scenery and follow the light. All the vegetables are from my kitchengarden and I got the idea using them for photos one day I was digging up potatoes and I got up the whole plant with top and all the potatoes still sitting in the lump of soil. When I got time to do the photos .... the tops had withered down but I wouldn't give up the idea of doing the vegetables from my kitchengarden ... and this is some of the stuff I did. Hope you like it.F 22 and 3 sec.

The beginning to this took place when I started putting potatoes and

different seeds in the soil this spring... and they all grew .. and

here they are. From my first season as a country girl. Comments and

suggestions are very welcome.

...thanks for stopping by ... hope you have something more to eat than Adam's and Eve's apple .... some nice vegetables for instance... not that there is something wrong with that apple.

Great composition, details, colours and lighting. If only our food was always this fresh!

I find the object on the floor on the right a bit distracting, because I can't quite tell what it is. Also might like more space to the left of the big fork, with a tiny bit less on the right so the eye flows from top right to bottom left.

Spencer ... what you sow is what you reap .. indeed it is ... and now I'm thinking very much of the giant pumpkins filling the whole kitchengarden. Glad you like it and thanks for the comment.
