She was actually photographing another sparrow, when this little one

arrived... to check that the picture was correctly taken :D

Wow; perfect timing for such a lovely composition! I love how the shape of the bird's feathers repeats in the person's hair. I only wish the person wasn't holding what looks like a cellphone...

I am astonished to realize that the silhouette of a person about to thumbing buttons on their cell phone has so quickly become so instantly recognizable. I really like this picture because the silhouette is a story of sorts: someone goes to check their calls but a bird wants to take it away because it assumes the cellphone is some sort of food offering to birds. In the "Birds" category, however, you may find that lots of critiquers object to images that mix birds and electronic gear. Even though they mostly use digital cameras in their own bird photography, I bet.
