One afternoon at the park

Taken late in the afternoon. Used Canon EOS Digital Rebel with 70-

300mm Quantaray lens.

This would be a nice shot, but I find the chain through the middle of the forehead is very distracting. If she squatted down it might have been nicer.

At first the chain is distracting but then it grows on you... Interesting composition.

What a 'beauty'.  For me there are some moments you just have to go with the 'flow' if you are going to capture the expression.  I did not even notice the chain in the middle of her forehead until I read the other critiques.  My focus was on her big beautiful eyes, flawless childs' complexion and those 'rosebud' lips.  She is playing at the 'playground', there's going to be chains and all kinds of distractions.  It's always great if you can set up a shot but how often does that really happen and you are able to capture such 'candid' beauty in a young child. Wonderful shot, great soft DOF , excellent editing in your shadow areas on her face and neck.
