kevin7 0 Posted September 20, 2001 was glad to see that this was a glove when i saw the larger image. though your pictures show events too recent for me to comment on, i'm sure they'll be great reminders of history for your family's generations to come. very high quality. one question - is the frame/name a template you place the photos into using PS? haven't used it much, but will this weekend. looks great - tough to do? what menu to use? thanks and best of luck regarding your missing friend. michael ezra 0 Posted September 22, 2001 Thank you, Kevin. The frame is done in PS. Imagine that every line around the image is a rectangle, placed under it in a separate layer. The larger the rectangle, the lower the layer is. This is the principle for making such a frame. Link to comment
michael ezra 0 Posted September 24, 2001 This photograph was taken during the tragic events in New York. The pain and sadness can not leave me... Link to comment
paul_van_buren 0 Posted September 24, 2001 There is definitely a story here. But I think you lost it by not focusing on the glove. I think it would have been very effective if the glove had been sharp. Link to comment
michael ezra 0 Posted September 24, 2001 Dave & Paul, the glove is out of focus completely intentionaly. It is quite a standard approach to put in focus the main subject of the photo. Here, if the glove would have been in focus, all you would see would have been the glove. All people who saw the original photo at the first glance saw a ... hand. My intention was to create an image, not to document a glove... Exposure was handheld, but there is no noticeable handshake in the print, although I took this shot around 4:30 - 5 am and still am surprised it came out, as I was falling asleep and my legs were shaking;)Thank you for your comments. cshop 0 Posted November 27, 2003 I saw 9/11 live on TV that day and I can't even begin to describe what I felt. I, as the other guys above, thought it was a hand but I first realized it when I read Kevin's post (obviously). All those emotions came back and I think that this is a really strong photograph. I like photos that lets the viewer make up his own mind about what he sees. Excellent work! Link to comment
mauricio alcaraz carbia 0 Posted December 5, 2003 My favorite (if I can say that) of this folder. Sometimes the last frame is the best frame in such tough conditions. Link to comment
