After a strenuous day I found my granddaughter asleep above the TV-

Magazine. At least to me a sweet scene under the lamplight above our

kitchentable.

I'll appreciate your constructive critiques and advices because I'm

not very experienced in making portraits.

Thank you, Ada:)

I have seen many amatuer sleeping shots. But this is very professionally done. It is a statement of the busy society.

Sid, I'm very grateful to you. You made me a great compliment with your remark about the statement. We life in a hectic world in which even children can get a burn-out. Luckily my granddaughter isn't one of them. She still has time to play and make fun.

Wim, your comment is great. You know, I'm always very curious to hear your opinion about my attempts to make good shots. But now it's a portrait, which is your speciality, I'm very happy with your appreciation and kind words.

1.6 seconds hand held - you have steady hands, Ada!

The camera angle is very nice, revealing the care free life of a tired teen after a long day. I do wonder how the original colors appear, though.

I've steady hands yes:) But this time I needed a little help from my elbows. Placed them on the table and it worked well.

I'm pretty content with the result and with your opinion Michael. Your B&W is very nice too. Each version has it's own charmes I think. I'm personally not a great fan of black and white shots but portraits is a different story.

I show you the original picture to compare. I warn you, it looks really awful because of the colours.

Ah Pnina, that's a great compliment. I'm really very glad with your opinion. I was already in doubt about the portrait when I saw the law ratings which came in, but I have not any doubt about your comment. Thanks again dear Pnina, Warm regards, Ada:)

Groetjes, Ada:)

I like a lot your toned version! And especially the two little soft pink parts. It gives to the whole a great effect. I can see that there isn't only in France that TV programs are boring : ))

Because I'm really not a master in portrait and I find yours really great, I can't critique anything : ) I like it!

Hi Yann, it's great you like the portrait. When I was busy in PS with this picture it reminded me suddenly of a portrait you've made of your son. That one with the slice of bread in his hand. I've searched in your portfolio to watch that shot again and it's really wonderful. In the meantime I have also picked up an idea for my frame:)

Speaking about boring TV-programs, particular in the summertime it's bad. But since I'm on PN I look very seldom TV and the TV-magazin goes regular unread to the old papers.

My granddaughter was actually searching for an evening program she could watch after she had her bath, which she clear needed after she had played outside the whole day long:))) When I came back from upstairs where I was busy to prepair the bath for her I found her like this. I bet such situations are recognazible for you:)

I can't thank you for your critique Yann;-), but I like to say that I liked it very much to hear your fantastic comment:)

Hi Michael, in the hurry of that moment I have forgotten to check that. Thanks for reminding me. Will do that the next time, Cheers, Ada:)

Gezellig meid, kom erbij.

Waar zullen we afspreken?

Groetjes, Ada:)

Well done Ada. I like the original version best but they are all great. The composition is excellent as is the exposer. What an angel :) Cheers Nova ~
