pnital 36 Posted August 14, 2005 Visiting Vienna, a modern city which is surrounded with a ring ( double meaning) of the past.Monumental buildings and churches in different artistic styles like Gothic, Barok, Rokoko, full, but full of statues scene, angels, flowers decorations. all of them scenes telling the glory/story of the past. And the arts, music, theatre, are as well based on many of creators ,belonging to the past. My folder is a photographic impressions of the city. Thanks for commenting your thoughts. delp 0 Posted August 14, 2005 A lot of works in Vienna that period ... a shame I thought ... You however did something perfect with these contrasts ! Link to comment
samvincent 0 Posted August 14, 2005 A good photograph! I think the statue should have been postioned more to the centre of the photograph. Probably a b/w vrsion of the picture could create more aesthetics. Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted August 14, 2005 I'd like to controvert. The blueish plastic makes a beautiful contrast to the yellowish stone. Link to comment
photos of hans koot 0 Posted August 14, 2005 Light is beautifull here, colors and contrast work well. I suggest a crop though, because she is a little too centered. I would probably crop from the left. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 14, 2005 Lionel, Andrea, and DF for your comment and rating. Sam and Hans, thanks for your suggestions, I have tried to crop it from both sides and did not like the results. The statue is more or less on the golden 1/3.and I liked the composition as it is here, thanks for taking the time to observe and suggest. Thanks again to all of you. Pnina Link to comment

lgreene 0 Posted August 15, 2005 I agree with the others-I didn't even recognize the background as being hung plastic - I was just drawn to the warmth of the light on the statue. Link to comment
