chris hughes 0 Posted August 14, 2005 I see where you're going with this one but it seems like the exposure isn't quite working on the interior or the exterior. I'd like to see some more detail both in the dark portions and in the blown out region around the canoe. The quality of light on the blinds is really interesting though. Clearly it's a very difficult exposure. I wonder how it would look with a little fill flash? Just a thought. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted November 9, 2005 are the orange glows in the upper windows reflections from lamps in the other room? Did you also shoot this with those lamps off? I like the glow they cast but think this might be nice without them. There appears to be a tilt to the right on this and with some straightening it would 'feel' better as well as framing tighter which would leave out the strip of window light on the lhs and the bit of sun light in the lower rh corner but of course still situate the chair to the left in the frame. I like how you can see small details in the shadow such as the can/basket near the chair. Did you also shoot with the canoe'r (is that what a person in a canoe is called?) in the other window frames? Not that my opinion is much but I think this shot has a lot in it and could be so much more. Knicki Link to comment
