Donna, This is extremely well done. The background is different than I normally see with dragonfly shots. You managed to place the focus right where it needed to be and the dragonfly is placed perfectly in the frame.

Try as I will, I can't seem to get a good shot of these little buggars, and here you go, with all the bells and whistles...in truth, I have to say...wow !

The sharpness is excellent.Was this hand held?

Chris, most of my work is handheld but I just started using a monopod which I used in this image. . it's a compromise between added stability and loss of some flexibility, but I think it worked in this case.
