Great action shot Wilson, 6/7

Nice timing Wilson. Almost looks like you were right there on the field.
Slightly less DOF would have made the background a litte more pleasing, but that is a lot to ask!

High pitch?
Looks like a strike to me..... maybe inside, maybe outside.....but high? Nice shot though.

Wilson, great tension in this image. Very nice. You must be shooting 9 frames a second to catch the perfect moment. Regards, Scott

This is good sports photography. I bet if the big leagers saw your work they'd hire you.

Thanks for your feedback,
JIM: Glad you enjoy this.
TACHION: Appreciate your insights. The limitation is how little room there is between the batter and the stand.
SCOTT: Thanks, Scott. Actually, since the 300 2.8 was only operationable with my D70, I captured this in a single-shot mode by timing the pitcher's release and the time the ball reached the plate. I'm looking forward to remedy this technical issue.
MASON: Thanks. Sure, it might have very well been a strike, ableit a high one. Umpires are mere mortal after all.
HOWARD: Thanks, Howard. Might have to wait forever for that day to come!
JAYME: Glad you think so, Jayme.
