atkphotoworks 0 Posted August 12, 2005 Well captured Alec. I was wondering if you could get some tips on shooting fireworks scenes in terms of aperture and shutter speed settings. I have a firworks image in my recent submissions folder - if you could throw some thoughts on it I would appreciate it. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 12, 2005 Beautifully composed. Multiple exposures? How long each? Any PS arrangements? Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted August 13, 2005 Cherlyn, Sircar, Richard, Michael thanks for your kind comments. Amar, Arthur, yes the image is made from multiple exposures then layered together. Fireworks at F/11, 3 secs with tripod provide enough light to show the distinct trails which otherwise will be overblown. Link to comment
atkphotoworks 0 Posted August 13, 2005 Thanks Alec, glad you could share the details of the settings. Now all I need are some fireworks. By the way, I didn't even think of the multiexposure setting. Link to comment

bolti_ankheen 0 Posted August 15, 2005 Alec, Great shot again. no trail in firework wounderfull. i m woundering is the building in foreground are Cut/Paste ? plz share this too. i will appriciate that. Regards Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted August 15, 2005 Thanks guys for all the favourable comments. Bolti, definitely not. The image is not manipulated except for the fireworks which are merged in and processed. This has to be done otherwise the trails of smoke plumes will deteriorate the whole night sky. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted August 16, 2005 I have seen fireworks, Alec, but so neat, beautiful flowers in between lit cityscape is new. Very original and very well done. Link to comment
