pjmeade 12 Posted August 12, 2005 I had to keep going inside to dry off the camera when I tried to photograph this rainbow. I think it was worth getting wet. Any constructive comments are very welcome. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted August 12, 2005 Peter, a superb shot! The light on the rolling landscape is very good indeed and the rainbow makes it special. I find the weather that looks best in a photo can often be a threat to my camera! Link to comment
airwinger 0 Posted August 12, 2005 Nice capture Pete. The sunlight on the rolling fields ballances the light nicely. Two observations, did you intend to leave the horizon at this angle and there appears to be rather a large ammount of grain visible. If you would like to heal some of the grain then perform a search for "Neat Image" or "Grain Surgery". Both can be very useful programs. Hoping only to help, not to criticize. Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted August 12, 2005 Hello Steve, Thanks, I'll look for that grain solution. You are right about the angle, I think there is a couple of degrees tilt, probably as a result of the driving rain. I have other shots to post, so may try to solve all those little issues at once. Many thanks for your thoughtful comments. P Link to comment
airwinger 0 Posted August 12, 2005 Hope the difference is to your liking although not very visible in this 500pixel wide example. Link to comment

maria 7 Posted March 4, 2006 I must admit I saw more clear or more complete (even half of the circle) rainbows [there is a No Words forum thread on this], but here the landscape under the rainbow light is the one which is outstanding. kind regardsMaria Link to comment
