The Boardwalk/ Digial Infared

This is a digial infared image made by using a infrared longpass filter I bought from Edmund Optics for $12. The filter I ordered was 3" in dia. Which to my surprise fit perfectly in a 77mm filter. I broke the glass out of a warming filter I never use and glued in the infared filter. I set up the camera on my tripod and set the iso at 1600 and focused the camera before putting on the filter, then I covered the viewfinder with my thumb and took the image. Then the work in photoshop begins. I put it into channel mixer and turn it into a b&w and played with the color mix. I also used levels and brightness and contrast and some burning in off some areas.I got this information off a thread here on PN about digial infared and it really works!
