beepy 0 Posted August 10, 2005 I feel like this is the image that got away from me - I see problems - but I see potential. Weigh in. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 10, 2005 You and I probably see images differently, but I don't see anything I'd really classify as a major problem. I like the contrast and the negative space. I see what appears to be some sharpening artifacts along the edges of her arms, hands, and the right side of her face, but that's easily corrected. I love her hands, so I kinda hate you (accidentally?) nipped off a couple of finger tips. So...problems? Yeah, maybe, I guess...but I still like it. Link to comment
beepy 0 Posted August 10, 2005 Yeah, nipped the fingers - too aggressive on framing of the view camera for sequence of shots... I will go back and review sharpening - those artifacts may be really high contrast... not from sharpening... Link to comment
jmf 0 Posted August 11, 2005 I really like this but...her hands seem too prominent, almost as if they weren't her's Link to comment
beepy 0 Posted August 11, 2005 Yes - I noticed the hands too. The 135mm is like 40mm equivalent or bit more. I was shooting from close and low angle and she leaned back and the hands appear large. I think. Weird effect - just wish I hadn't framed so tight in the setup to where I lost her fingertips... Link to comment
jmf 0 Posted August 12, 2005 I've got a super too with one of those 135's. They were really meant as news cameras thus the slightly wide standard lens. If you shop smart, you can pick up a used caltar 210 f/5.6 for reasonable money. It's not like you need to cover huge movements. Otherwise it's very nice. Link to comment
