Supriyo 6,008 Posted August 4, 2005 I tried to experiment with this moonlit landscape by applying a magenta filter in Photoshop CS. I have seen previous images of Monument valley where photographers have successfully applied the magenta filter to highlight the red of the mittens without affecting the sky. Now my question is, does this thing work for this image, or does it look like a magenta cast? Thank you. Link to comment
nikonuserf100 0 Posted August 4, 2005 First of all, I don't like the moon. It's not natural. The moon doesn't cast off beams like the sun does. It looks like you were using a starlite filter. You might get the desired effect if you used a Tiffen 'enhancing' filter. It adds more saturation to the photo. Nice work though. Link to comment
Supriyo 6,008 Posted August 5, 2005 Hi Carlos, I didn't use any filter other than those mentioned in the 'technical details'. The halo and the star effects are probably due to the dirt and grease accumulated on the lens from the day's activities. Link to comment
