I guess I should have put the waist level finder away as it is blocking a nice view. (I know it's not straight.... It's an old battered Kiev 88.)

Feedback very much appreciated.

Turning the image upside down makes for a very dramatic shot. As usually, very well done. I wish I may have just half of your imagination. You are a master.

Interesting. What are you shooting with? And what is that thing you shot (neither the orange nor the woman...)

Very unusual and original. It reminds me of a medical examination or a take from a dentist's point of view. More of an examination of the orange I guess.

you may not believe it but I may like it in color and upright better than the post. In either event it is a tribute to your imagination, perhaps your best. There is not much more to add. Bravo.

I guess I should be happy with so much positive feedback from so many respected photographers. I just feel it ludicrous that someone should be able to come along and rate this 1/1 without any explanation. Why must we suffer these people who have no respect for others?

Paulo, I am glad you love it! I was hoping people would.

Alex, You are kind. Try drinking more. You see the world in a completely different way. The problem then is trying to remember what it looked like the next day! Seriously, thanks for your kind words.

Beepy, I am glad you find this interesting. If I understand you correctly you want to know what cameras were used to get this shot. The picture was taken with a Canon EOS 10D. The camera you see in the picture is a Kiev 88 set to Bulb. The shutter was held open with a cable release which you also see in the picture.

James, I can see where you are coming from with your comment. That thought didn't even enter my head. Thanks!

Seigneurgens, Like James (Peepeye) above, what you are thinking is different to anything I was thinking. I am fascinated by these two comments. Thanks a lot!

Owen, Strangely, I am not too surprised by what you say. I am guessing if I had posted it in Black and White only, you may even have liked that more. I do try to keep coming up with new ideas. It is good to know someone like you notices. Thanks a lot.

Guillermo, I think most people would agree with Owen. I usually do, especially when he is being nice about my photos. Thanks for taking the time.

Everyone, Thanks a lot. Please forgive my little rant!

David: Let me explain why I like best the colored version, I have been thinking about. The main thing is that this version looks, in a way, less elaborated; you make your point without overdoing it. In that inverted W&B version there are too many signals: partially monochrome, inverted, the hands with the orange colored, too many things that I think are unnecessary to convey your meaning. Besides, it approaches dangerously to advertising, while the colored one makes the point in an elegant way. In the second place the colored version makes you watch more carefully and demand some intelectual work to get the message, the other one does not demand much from us, viewer. But as I have said both are gorgeous.

Dreams, Thanks a lot. I like this one too.

Guillermo, Reading your explanation makes perfect sense. I actually agree with you. Thanks once again for taking the time. It is very much appreciated.

David, Another inventive use for cameras! I keep going back and forth on the color vs. b&w. I've visited this photo several times trying to decide which I prefer and why. The two versions are are so different visually. In the end, my preference is the color version, upright. It's easier to see and understand what's going on. The balance of the composition seems better. And the colors themselves are pleasing. That said, I do like the way the b&w version makes the eye work to understand the image. So, you basically have two successes in one here.

Laurie, Your comment has, again, been well thought out. I am very pleased to know that this image has been revisited by you. If the truth be known, I was not going to upload the colour version until much later to see if anyone believed that the B&W image was real. In the end, I thought it better not to play tricks on anyone. Since you like both images I will say, "Thank you thank you."

David, the first 2 digits in the serial number are usually the year on the Ukranian/Russian cameras. I like the Kievs, have a Salyut, a Salyut-C and an 88-CM. If you get a good one they're a great alternative to Hassys.
