Prater over the night

Hi Maria. Nice photograph. Looks quite noisy. Try to use Neat Image to reduce that noise. It's free and you can get it somewhere on internet. It looks also quite bad scanned with much dust. Also a little sharpening would help. But I like it. Are you trying to shoot at night? If the exposure date is correct you have been in Vienna lately, so perhaps you didn't miss Batislava. As an attachment I send your image with reduced noise and some other corrections. Have a nice day :)

I appologise for coming back so late - I was busy with various things and had merely time to hit "request a critique" at already uploaded photos ...

Yes, I was in Vienna at the end of April. I found a hotel with low prices near Prater, Praterstern. If I'll go there again (next year), I'll stay at the same hotel. Fellow photo.net member Alexandre Guerra was in Vienna at the same time, and since he is working in the same field, he saw where the Congress I attended was being held (more about this is in my comments on the earlier Lisbon photos).

I took the shot in one of the evenings, when going back to the hotel. It is handheld, the tripod was too heavy to carry with me ...

I think the noise comes from the sharpening command ... So far I found out that to get more sharp I should rather use the contrast function ...

I am trying to upload photos catching all aspects of Vienna, even if the photos are not so good.
