stoopidgerl

This is actually a Polaroid [669] that I made in the Vivitar Slide Printer from a Fuji Vevlia 100F slide.

I shot this image at the abandoned Fisher Body building [link--> http://detroityes.com/industry/18fisher.htm]. I had to get down very low on the ground to get this. I had to lay my body down to the ground. While doing so I felt a connection with the building and my surroundings. Needless to say, it was quite an eerie feeling that was evoked while capturing this. I feel that this image really captures the essence of Detroit. It is a city of decay. Abandoned buildings are everywhre... they dot the streets no matter where you turn. The people have reclaimed these buildings and have turned them into canvases. The walls of these useless buildings are now made useful. They are a means of expression.

This is hot I would have called this "Huffing in Detroit" :P But really it is modern and realistic which is what I like about your photos.

Graphically I love that picture. Nice colors, original subject & point of view. And it does reflect Detroit as well. Excellent work, 6/7
