lieb 0 Posted August 3, 2005 i really enjoy the color, and the composition [although his right arm feels slightly awkward to me for some reason].. three constructive criticisms, from my eyes - one is his lower neck seems to have been brightened and maybe too much, lost saturation, etc? secondly, in general there seem to be slightly odd splotches of less saturation in skin tones [like along certain places in the hands and cheeks] - and third, i feel like [at least at this size] the image is too sharpened, i think the depth in his skin and wrinkles is enough to push the image without any sharpening. anyway, a fantastic image, like most of the work I've seen of yours. look forward to seeing more in the future. best- jeff Link to comment
mg 0 Posted August 9, 2005 I just love it ! Superb... In order to say something a bit more constructive, may I perhaps suggest that the edges of his hat may not need to be * this * bright...? These edges could be slightly darker, a tad more green and a bit less magenta maybe...? Anyway, small matter, congrats. This is still excellent work, even with this minor nit. And if you are selling your portraits, I'd love to know... They are adorable, at the same time deep and cute, tragic and funny... Superb work. Link to comment
