Was watching one of these little guys in flight recently -- they can move like a stealth fighter when they want. This side view with the head turned toward the camera is especially effective. Did you bribe him with some kind of Finch food? --jim

I have a simple Silo or Tube Feeder to attrack birds. That help, but I have to wait long hours to have a bird getting in a good "natural" environment to take the photo. I have many oaks that attrack the birds. I will also continue to go in different place to shot birds in the wild. That kind of birds are so quick that I can not use a tripod to get a photo. I try to get a steady position, that help a lot. I do not use 'camouflage'.

Thank for your comments, it is appreciated.

Yellow-green-black nice combination, Gaetan. The largest size is perfect for this shot. Sharpness from corner to corner with the Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L

Gaetan, this is a beautiful capture with a good DOF. I like the maple leaves in the foreground. I think they add to and compliment the bright lemon yellow of the bird. real good shot.

Kind regard.
