Home Sweet Home Invasion

stoopidgerl

Abandoned and decrepit trailer at an abandoned trailer park in Detroit, MI. This used to be a place where someone called it HOME.

This image is a scan from a print that I manipulated in the darkroom. First the image was printed in the darkroom. The image was then scanned. I then used Photoshop to manipulate the image to give it a vintage feel and also to create the heavy black border. I made an inkjet transparency and used that as a digital negative where I then contact printed it onto Oriental glossy fiber paper.

This image is a great example of what some of the older Holga cameras are capable of. Many of the newer models lack vignetting and selective focus. Some of the newer Holgas are almost too sharp. This image here, shot with the SF model, shows the selective focus of the Holga. Some parts are sharp while others are blurry. I think that this really enhances the feel that I was going for with this photo.

This a rather interesting photograph.

I like how the Holga obscured the weeds on the right it's almost beautiful in a way.

The trailer is nearly dead center but I think it works.

I like this photograph..
