davidmccracken 2 Posted July 30, 2005 David thought there were not enough photos of bus wheels on photo.net and set out to rectify this imbalance. Feedback appreciated. Link to comment
marco_ruggiero 0 Posted July 30, 2005 David: I am very new at this site but I have admired your photos not only for great technical skills, but composition and most importantly, originality, so well displayed. You see images that are truly unique. This is no different. Great image. My compliments. I have also failed to thank you for your comment on one of my photos, the sleeping man on the bench. Which by the way I found another frame that had the full hand showing and it was a much better shot.Thanks. Marco Ruggiero Link to comment
barreto 0 Posted July 30, 2005 Efficient in the aesthetic point of view it is distinguished however for the extreme originality. Different! Link to comment
love - the - world 0 Posted July 30, 2005 The dressing of the lady matches the car so much! It's expressive! The image gives me a feeling of... a still action but still in motion. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted July 31, 2005 Marco, I do try to be as original as possible when I can. In all honesty this was just a snapshot taken from a tram. The result was better than I thought it would be and so I thought I would upload it to see what reaction it got. Paulo, Much of what I have said to Marco applies to your comment. Thanks you! Somi, I am glad this simple shot can give you so much feeling. I do like it myself but it was more down to luck than judgement. Thanks everyone. Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted July 31, 2005 I sent a critique and rating yesterday but I see it did not make it there or I did not hit the submit button, probaby the latter. In any event I love it. the composition is fantastic especially the positioning of the lovely lady's fingers over the wheel. When one starts getting this type of snap shot with any degree of regularity then they are moving in the direction of Robert Frank, and that ain't a bad way to go. Have to throw in that it would be a great B&W as well. -Cheers Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 1, 2005 Scoota, Thanks. I quite like this one myself. Owen, I can't really take much credit for this as all I have done is photograph an advert on a bus. Having said that, I was very pleased with the result. You are correct Owen, this does look good in B&W. You may be pleased to know that I will be uploading one or two black and white pictures later this week. I am waiting on approval from the model. Thanks for your continual support. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted August 1, 2005 This is definitely a fabulous image of a bus wheel! :-) I love this, in fact ... it's a great image that makes the viewer look twice. Nice work as usual, David! Link to comment

davidmccracken 2 Posted August 1, 2005 Lou Ann, Very kind words. I must admit it is a while since I have been to visit you. I will drop by soon. Satvinder, Trust me when I say that I take 1000s of photographs that are really bad. Perhaps (and I repeat perhaps) I can tell when I take a good one. Thank you very much! Link to comment

davidmccracken 2 Posted March 21, 2006 Tore, I think the original is much better than my capture. However, I am glad I snapped this. Thanks a lot. Link to comment
