leepix 0 Posted September 7, 2005 I came by to check you out. I am very impressed and delighted to see your images. They reflect a good eye and light hearted soul. I love faces, anytime. masks, people and these are wonderful and never seen before (by me) so they are very compelling.. Two things come to mind. (Take with salt!!:) ). I might try increasing the contrast a bit to get a 'pop' from the color- especially holding the whites of the eyes for drama. 2. I don't know if you had a chance to capture a frame where more of these were looking direct-on. This is the most power that you can present to the viewer. The implied 'connection' with audience is often increased. It is a labor of love, but to bring the wall down in tone a bit will also pop out the faces and produce a slightly 3D effect.- I hope my thinking out loud here is OK. If I didn't like your work, which I do, I would not bore you with my thoughts.-- If you would like more on all your images--let me know. I'm off to sleep now. Cheers, Lee Link to comment
leepix 0 Posted September 7, 2005 my rating is usually for the 'content appeal' of the image. yes the aesthetics are important---but, subordinate to the content and voice of the artist. Hence I give ratings for CONTENT first. Cheers, Link to comment
