Coho 2 Posted July 29, 2005 I recently posed a question about image sharpening software. This was sharpened with Focus Magic. I will add the other images to this and you can compare for yourself. Link to comment
Coho 2 Posted July 29, 2005 You decide. Ease of use varies. Costs vary from under $20 to $175 roughly. I didn't include nik Sharpener because there was no demo that I noted and it is at the higher end in the price scale. Fred Miranda does not have a demo either but it is less than $20 and is camera specific. They all appear to do a good job and are basically easy to use. Link to comment
perry_cas 0 Posted July 31, 2005 I cant tell much difference here either, the original looks best to me, seems to have a higher contrast, blacks are a bit blacker- maybe. I recently had a go at focal blade myself and cant really say I was particularly impressed. To be honest I 'thought'( yeah i know often its all a bit subjective depending on the individuals skill level and mine isnt necessarilly that high) that the sharpener in Silverscan was better. Focal blade pissed me off as well, I found it hard to evaluate its result when it was covered with watermarks. I think it would be more productive for them to do what others do - to give an unrestricted use for a restricted time period. thanks for your efforts though, well done. Perry Link to comment
