I saw the others in this folder and you are right. To appreciate them you need to see the in concert with one another. Never the less this one is a good photo on its own. It truly conveys a rainy, wet day.

I am comfortable with your premise, that is, none of the pictures conveys what you are seeing by itself, but the combination is complete and satisfying. The best way to combine these is another question. In this format I simply picked the ones I wanted to view alone and larger. That made me happy. Now...I don't quite see the connection with your avowed 19th Century aesthetic, not that it matters, but your approach encourages such questions.
