chrisspracklen 0 Posted July 25, 2005 Not terribly 'original' I guess, except in the sense that you probably haven't seen this actual scene before!! Your constructive comments will be most welcome! Thanks, Chris Link to comment
WJT 621 Posted July 25, 2005 In my view, originality is not whether a photograph depicts a truly unique scene but, rather, how uniquely the photographer has used his talent and equipment. That is how I interpret the definition as given in the PhotoNET FAQ. So, with that said, Chris, I rate this a 6 for Originality. Regards. Link to comment
doug owens 0 Posted July 25, 2005 I really am enjoying this photograph. It looks alive in the sense that it has moved to the waters edge to get a drink... it has really captured my imagination. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
scott_j 0 Posted July 26, 2005 Chris, I wonder what a vertical crop of the broken limb and reflection might look like. Regards, Scott Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted July 28, 2005 Chris, Always nice to discover a great portfolio to entertain one's eye for a while. Yours qualifies! This is a beautifully composed, well exposed, & sharp example. It can stand on it's own as a square crop or, as Scott suggests, be cropped & still not lose appeal. The high contrast is what attracted my eye to the thumbnail. Exhibition quality I'd say. Best, LM.
