I liked this picture. But the dark part is sort of not helping the composition. Was it some shadow?

Nilesh, it is the shadow of the adjoining woodland... I feel it is a strong part of the composition...but opinions on this will naturally vary...

without the shadow the photo would have no impact,love the whole effect.

Walter, nice forground. But I do not feel the heat, maybe it is because of the dark background.. I rather feel storm coming.. cheers Jana

I like this composition. Even the dark part. Or the way the flower seems to be floating into it. I do however think that the nice bright spiked stripe part beyond the dark holy part could do with a bit more light.
