paula grenside 0 Posted July 24, 2005 curious considering how old Vienna is and how many old buildings there are in it. Quite nice structure though. Link to comment
atkphotoworks 0 Posted July 24, 2005 Nice reflective piece Paula. I like the joining points between the reflection and the building at the left. Link to comment
labuenaluz 0 Posted July 24, 2005 Nice reflections Paula, I like how clouds try to mach on reflection and sky, regards Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 24, 2005 Paula, I like the composition with the clouds, very nicely seen. The low rating on so many good works is a disgrace for the site. Pnina Link to comment
Appreciated. Thank you. Ferrando, thank you so much for adding your response. Pnina, I am getting used to it, in the sense I am no longer suprised or irritated. Simply, I don't consider them because there is no comments, ever; even typing "crap" woul involve an effort to shape an opinion. Domenico, I like your crop very much; yes it would necome even nore abstract with lines and sky. It's a version I'll keep. Thank you so much. Alix, thank you so much. It struck me especially because in Old Vienna. Chips, you, too, seem fascinated by what windows refled:-) Thank you so much. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted July 26, 2005 Paula, why do airports all over the worl all look much the same? Nice reflection and cunning use of perspective to match up the line of the real and the reflected. Link to comment
bens 0 Posted July 26, 2005 ooooh, this is really interesting. have you played with different crops and contrasts? this is so interesting i would be playing with it for a couple of hours! Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted July 28, 2005 Colin, Pulok, Ben, thank you so much. Yes, Colin, it's all glass now... but the reflected sky is different;-) Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted October 8, 2005 I actually like the original crop as you had posted. Cropping down kind of eliminates one dimension; the sky behind the structure. I like the abstract quality and the play of different planes. The halo along right edge of building is a bit uneasy on the eye (feathered darkening of sky?) Still, a successful image, I feel. BTW, I read the "details" and I'm shocked that Italy had annexed Vienna! ^_^ Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted October 9, 2005 Wilson, thank you so very much for the detailed comment. I see what you mean about the right edge, will try to edit. :-) for the last part of the comment. Link to comment
drybrain 0 Posted March 27, 2006 i like this one. IMHO: keep it as is, don't change anything.the curve on the left and the refelction/transparency work for me. ciao, n Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted March 27, 2006 Hi, Naftali, I always keep the original version I post, then make others and number them. It takes time to convince me:-) Thanks. Link to comment
rasmuslindersson 0 Posted November 27, 2006 A very nice reflection Paula. I think cropping this would be a real mistake, I like that you can see in what context the shot is taken. If you understand what I mean even if I stumbled on the words a bit. Nice shot! /Rasmus Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted November 28, 2006 Thank you, Rasmus. Glad you prefer my first take and crop. Link to comment
