timohicks 0 Posted July 23, 2005 The frame or matt moves the viewer's eyes instantly to the composition and formalizes the pictorial. Where there is a succession of prints or images, the matting isolates each image in that series helping to delimit the invasion of adjacent works on peripheral vision. Of course spacing offers some separation but from my experience, just doesn't carry the formality. Guess I'm ole school. Thanks for the observation. Link to comment
