St. Stephan church

Very interesting juxtaposition of architectures in a modern environment. The photo is slightly tilted and I also have a problem with the people with cut feet. Regards.

In the Taschen edition on contemporary architects, where this building of Hans Hollein is presented, there is a much better photo of the juxtaposition, the church fully reflected. Unfortunately I could not record this aspect, as there was a building site around (those posters are tarning it).

City life in Vienna: the old reflected on the new curtain wall, and

a place of about right size, as it does not look empty nor crowded.

 

What do you think? Did I catch the spirit?

I like the contrast between modern and old architecture.

 

For met the photo seems a bit too cluttered. The picture needs to be tilted to the right and the people should either be cropped or included fully. The right area of the photo seems to lose a lot of detail in the shadows, but maybe it's just my screen.

 

Something I might try is to only photograph the reflection of the cathedral in the highly reflective glass building on the left. But then again, it's only me.

Yes, it looks like I tend to put too many elements on one photo. I did such a cropping exercise in the first street photo which I uploaded.
