F-18 taking off from the USS Carl Vinson. Even from 500 feet away

and four stories up, it was hard to hold the camera still!

Did you blur heat coming from the back ?? The reason i say this is because it stops at the edge of the ship

Wow, that's odd! I never noticed it before, but, no, I didn't blur it. I did a little work on the other side to take out a peice that was sticking in. My only guess for why the blur would stop is that when they are fully loaded, they drop about 5-6 feet when they go off the edge.
