hanna_cowpe 0 Posted July 23, 2005 Not really a landscape but didn't want to put in under sport or vehicle so... Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted July 23, 2005 Hi Hanna, I really like the contrasts in this photo. . . the smooth white kayak against the roughly textured water. . . Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted July 23, 2005 I agree. The symmetry of the colorful reflection that is broken by the angled white kayak makes for an effective composition. Good eye! Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted July 25, 2005 Gosh! Two kayak pictures in a row, Hanna. (I just came from Dennis McKenzie's site.) This is a very nice boat, nicer than mine, except that mine is bright yellow because I am yellow when it comes to traffic off the coast. (I was almost run down by a shrimper off the coast of Georgia in 1995.) Nicely done, Water Woman. --Lannie Link to comment
dennismk 0 Posted July 25, 2005 this is a very good image and not just because I love Kayaks having built 3 of them. The gold yellow tone is ths photo really make the image work. Nice job. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted July 26, 2005 Thankyou all for dropping in. Lannie, no need to explain. Despite the fact I love to be near water, being on it isn't my favourite past time. We have a red kayak which is untippable, according to my husband. So I go out in it, but not outside the inlet. Dennis, thankyou for your kind comment, and for introducing me to your wonderful portfolio, which I will definitely get back to. Your photography and your pottery is beautiful. Well I assume it's your pottery; am I right? Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted July 26, 2005 Great use of the reflection colour. The Kayak adds a sharp pointy shape in complete contrast but connected through its purpose. Nice. (I have trouble with categories too!) Link to comment
germainclaude 0 Posted July 27, 2005 Looks to me like a captive animal who just want to go back to his natural element. Nice "capture"! Link to comment
detlef 6 Posted August 3, 2005 you have waited for the right moment for the ripples of the water to create this sparkling abstract..including the kayak add good contrast to the image Link to comment
