I like the photo somewhat from a purely aesthetic perspective. As photojournalism, I think it's missing a key element that reveals something about the lives of the people living in there. A good photo along these lines should show us something a casual passerby wouldn't have bothered to notice.

did you read the graphiti? (it is something I didn't read till I was cleaning the photo in PS) I don't know if it counts as what you mention, but that is why I posted the photo.
