there is a great interplay of forms here. There slight curvature of what you would expect to be a flat surface really stands out. That versus the perspective trick of having the lettering read as flat is very effective. The texture of the building, which always suprizes people because of its roughness, make this shot very special.

 

Even though this shot wouldn't work without the people sitting there, I would love to see this idea reworked to only deal with the shape of the museum. It's an over-photographed building, but there are some interesting elements you rarely see. (Like that the interplay of the Wright building with the Gwathmey addition - there is a strong architectural dialogue there). Too bad you can't really take pictures in the Guggenheim.

Again Alex, I do appreciate the time you have taken to comment. It is very usefull. Next time I am in NYC I will take these comments in account and will try to shoot this without the people. Or I will just PS them out ;).
