wow. what a wild and wonderful color bouquet you have captured. is this native to france? reminds me of the american buckeye. i suppose the peacock is in the nymphalidae family?

I think this butterfly is native in large parts of Europe, although here & there it may have become extinct. Yes, it belongs to the nymphalidae family. Thanks very much for your appreciation & comments. Cheers, Sam.
