markboyer 0 Posted July 22, 2005 Lovely shot, Bente. Color and detail are great. The very formal and almost classical composition applied to such rustic subject matter works beautifully. Link to comment
bentes_world 0 Posted July 22, 2005 Mark ... thank you for your very nice comment. Renny .. and thanks to you too. Brian .. how pleasing of you to take time to look my gallery through. Always nice when someone is doing that... and is leaving a comment too. Link to comment
jimmcnitt 0 Posted July 22, 2005 Hi Bente! Love your revolving portrait gallery. Today's is a real hoot! Fraid I can't give you much input on the pros and cons of the color vs. B&W versions. They're both great! --jim Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 22, 2005 I like your stil life compositions Bent. I think that each of the 2 has its photographic value, but being a color frik.. that one is my favorite.I like in particular the brown chair and blue/violet flowers, and the composition in general. Pnina Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted July 23, 2005 Bente- Beautiful lighing and subject. I was amazed to read the technical details, 30 sec. F22, amazing detail and perfect exposure! Super! Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted July 24, 2005 I'm another colour freak. Beautiful wood colours and textures in this version. Link to comment
ken dennis 0 Posted July 25, 2005 Hi I really like this photograph for its color, focus, lighting and the items you've combined to create the composition, its very appealing. But I do have just one nitpick though, everything just looks a little to neat, this reminds me of a tool shed, or garden shed, and in most garden sheds I have seen, the tools where never placed quite this neatly, I think IMO, that if you had at least one item not so neatly placed, it would have gave this a little more of an interesting look, a little more of a touch of reality, like for example, say if the pitch fork or shovel had been placed, leaning across the other into the left corner! but of course, thats just my opinion! :o) This is a really appealing capture as it is though! felix-diaz 0 Posted August 1, 2005 Excellent. I can't make up my mind about whether the B&W or the color one is better. But I am now leaning towards the color one. Link to comment
bradkim 8 Posted August 10, 2005 I loved the B&W version of this pic.... I love this color version, too. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted August 14, 2005 Bente, I think I see a bit of style "a la Williams" here. And you've done a nice job. The small aperture has brought out great detail in the hydrangea. I can identify totally with this image as gardening is my second passion. But my shed isn't nearly this tidy. I would have to fight the spiders off with the fork before venturing in with my camera. Thanks for a peek into your world. Link to comment
bentes_world 0 Posted August 20, 2005 Thanks to everyone commenting this one. Original the set up was for a quite different shot... potatoes in a bunc still with the soil lump and the green top ... but when I was teady for that the potatoe tops had withered .. so now I'm using the set up to anther idea ... using the vegetables I have been growing in my kitchen garden.
