Hello Joe

Came back today after a brief vacation and saw your not eon my previuos comment. So let me explain by commenting on this foto

In this case the AF point (auto focus ) has been set properly to the center of the castle. The other posted phot appeared to be focused on teh background trees. Too stop this you have to change the AF point or Focus and recompose the frame. Also the both shots appea rto be stopped down f16 or higher. Resulting in a large portion of the photo in focus (well in front of the castle to well behind). this is called the hyperfocal distance. If you do not nderstand these terms then google this site for further explaination. By the way I like both shots and would play with blurring the background with PS to correct the exposure. Judging from the amount of light availible the only way to open up your lens would require nuetral density filters in front of the lens

Have a nice day

Another beautiful shot. I love the colors of the castle with the greens. It is also very neat the ivys growing over the sides of the castle. Are you able to go inside? Looks very mysterious..almost spooky how it is surrounded by trees. I love your photograph of the place and the angle you took the shot. Great work!
