emmanuel 0 Posted July 17, 2005 This lanscape looks like it's been shot using infrared film, How did you achieve this? It works well for me. Great shot! Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted July 17, 2005 Sondra, Wow, lady this is so good, perhap a little better than the foot-bridge shot of yours I saw on here earlier, great perspective. This has got just about everything, great fence leading back almost to the farm buildings, the trees, and a perfect sky....Oh yes, Isn't it just great to have our friend Tony back, just hope he doesn't get to doing to much, to soon....Like I've said to him, I've got to get me a digital camera that can do IR.....All the best....Jim Link to comment

peacecheck 0 Posted July 18, 2005 It's all about angles and lines. You created a common view and made it beautiful. The filter worked well for this location. Nice work. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted July 18, 2005 Nice dynamics to this shot - the fence leads the eye to the restful buildings and trees. Good sky that day too! Link to comment

WJT 619 Posted July 19, 2005 Hi Sondra. Just stopping by to say that this is a very pleasant photograph. Great composition and a nice infrared capture. Beautiful clouds! I like to photograph in the infrared realm, too, because it often reveals what we can not normally see. A couple of questions:How do you meter for this? The R72 is visually opaque; are you metering first and then attaching the filter, or does the Coolpix function with the filter in place? Are you using auto, or manual overides?Did you tone this in Photoshop? Looks good! Regards. Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted July 19, 2005 Hello Walter, the Coolpix functions with the filter in place. I use the LCD monitor to compose, but there was a problem with the bright sunlight. My husband took the viewfinder off an old Rolleicord and attached it to the monitor. The camera is automatic and handheld. When I was using my Oly C8080, I had to compose then put the filter on, a tripod was necessary. Sepia tone was added in PS. Hope this infomation answers your questions. Sondra Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 20, 2005 Sondra, that is a nice landscape and IR works well here, I wish the sepia tones to be a little less bright, but never the less a nice image. Pnina Link to comment
WJT 619 Posted July 20, 2005 Thanks for the info Sondra. Although I am shooting infrared with film, I have a friend with a D70 who would like to try something like this. Neat trick with the Rolleicord! Once again, good photograph. Regards. Link to comment

mehmet_tuzun1 0 Posted August 30, 2005 Good geometry plus impessive effect of IR. Only two problems (IMO) are grain and excess of light. Congrats. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 8, 2005 See forever indeed. I know next to nothing about IR, but I adore the photo nonetheless. *cheers* Link to comment
yardboy 0 Posted November 15, 2005 there is something about this photo that makes me just keep staring at it. i find the high brightness just adds to the surreal feeling of it. incredibly captivating. Link to comment
