Female House Finch (Carpodacus mexicanus - Roselin familier femelle).

Lots of visible detail and good depth. Gives your photo a slight 3D quality. I know you can't tell birds where to pose but I think just a little more distant greens in the background would have enhanced the composition. I like her expressive appearance. Well captured.

Very sharp and nice detail, Gaetan - though I think the mixed lighting threw of the camera's auto color balance.

 

To correct, I made a Levels adjustment layer, and chose that little white hot spot on her breast feathers as a re-define for the white point, then chose the pupil for a black point...here's the result, above - I think it's likely a lot closer to what you saw of this curious little lady.

Yes I think also that the mixed lighting threw of the camera's auto color balance. It was the ligst just before sunset so it is difficult to ajust.

Gaetan, I never trust my own camera any more! It's a safe bet that nearly every one of my own photos benefits from a slight color correction; luckily it only takes a few seconds!
