michal_vallo 0 Posted July 15, 2005 Martin, it is interesting perspective, indeed. However my eyes have difficulty to catch something on this shot. Too many objects and too flat it seems to me. I would compose differently, with attempt move body of the large aircraft more to the left just to keep left engine within the picture. Link to comment
neil fortescue 0 Posted July 15, 2005 Superb take on the balbo. I am more than happy with the composition - the B25 looks just right; excellent variety of prop blur as well. Link to comment
alex_kew 0 Posted July 15, 2005 Hi Martin, I guess this is the shot you told me about! My Balbo shots are not worth posting, after seeing this. Excellent capture. Comp is fine for me too. Link to comment
airwinger 0 Posted July 15, 2005 Well done Martin, now I know why I saw you jumping up in the air. No, I don't mean that's how you captured this photo but afterwards when you were chimping with excitement. I presume you are pleased with this shot?. I think Duxford would be happy to get hold of a print. Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted July 16, 2005 This is quite stunning. It's time I got back to Duxford. Link to comment
martinstott 0 Posted August 23, 2005 For those who dont visit duxford the Balbo is a mass flyby at the end of the flying legends air show. Flying legends is promoted as the best warbird display anywhere, and possibly it is. there are no jets to spoil the puritity of the sound of the huge piston engins from an age gone by. please enjoy & imagine the ground trembling from rhis lot passing over your head. k5083 1 Posted April 3, 2007 Martin, I know this critique is almost two years late but this is the best balbo picture I've ever seen. Congrats on a great shot. Link to comment
