I really like this except for the black plastic in the window.

Good image. I like it very much. I feel that he black plastic represents that way of life. The overall composition is a good one.

To me, the window is too far to the left anad the flower to the right. There needs to be something between. But good idea.

Mike, for some reason this didn't grab me at first. But I wanted to live with it for a while, so I set it as my wallpaper. The more I've looked, the more I've come to really appreciate the simple beauty of the scene. And your picture says something to me about things passing and things renewing.

That's what I like about you Doug, you give things time to sink in & unfold. Maybe that has something to do with your profession, you probably have to do that on a daily basis.

 

To tell you the truth, I had just the opposite reaction. When I first saw the slide, I thought it was pretty good, but then after I posted it I came to the conclusion that is was awfully average. Thanks for the reinforcement. Everything I seem to do lately seems a little meaningless. Maybe it's just a phase.

Maybe it is average.. but looking at the thumbnails in your rural relics album, this was the first photo I clicked on. Any hidden subliminal messages hidden in that window? lol.
