hanna_cowpe 0 Posted July 12, 2005 This is the chapel in the school where I misspent my youth. The building was turned into government offices but the convent quarters were restored and maintained for public view. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted July 17, 2005 You have captured the sense of undisturbed quiet that often seems to pervade these places. I like the tones here and the range of contrast looks very good. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted July 17, 2005 Colin, this is a very pretty chapel decorated in cream with pale blue and gold trim. It's flanked by a row of windows on either side and lets the sun stream in, allowing for a decent handheld shot. It seems a much cheerier place now that the constraints of schooling and religion no longer exist. Link to comment
connealy 0 Posted July 19, 2005 What a nice opportunity to revisit your own past with a camera. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted July 19, 2005 Mike, it's nice to revisit the past as long as I don't have to relive it {~; Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted July 21, 2005 Yes, in the same way history, literature, art etc all became a lot more inviting for me once they were no longer school subjects! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 21, 2005 Hanna, simply very beautiful, very well croped, and toned, so nice without the noisy children... very quiet here. Pnina Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted July 21, 2005 Ah, light and excellent architecture--the two things missing in my recent church interior shots! Great work, Hanna. --Lannie Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted July 22, 2005 Colin, Pnina and Lannie, it's nice to have you all visiting at the same time. There's just enough room for the four of us in this little chapel. It was only big enough to hold one or two classes. Link to comment
