mcgarity 0 Posted July 11, 2005 Good shot Jerry. I wish I knew how you did it. I have tried and failed to get up close and personal with a few Cormorants and they weren't having any part of it. Kudos on this one. Link to comment
bens 0 Posted July 11, 2005 nice clarity and isolation of the subject, and well done colors. the crop is an interesting effort to make this a more unusual shot. i haven't made up my mind about it one way or the other after sitting here for a few moments. debating whether i'd like a closer crop around the subject or not. bryan olesen 0 Posted July 11, 2005 Beautiful aqua eye and silver beak. I had no idea their beaks were this color. Well done. As for the crop, I kinda want to see it more in the left third (damn rule of thirds), but that's just me, and I'm sure you had your reasons for cropping like this - maybe to make the eye the center of attraction? greg s 4 Posted July 12, 2005 Hi Jerry, Nice shot! I think I would definitely crop it more tightly, less space top and right with the same aspect ratio (rectangular). Great color and background! -Greg- Link to comment
