teru 0 Posted July 11, 2005 What drew me to this photo was the thumbnail. I wasn't sure if the lines were converging from the sides to make an edge in the center. After seeing the larger image, I was surprised to see that it was a picture of a "flat" object all along. Good illusion. Link to comment
lauracangiano 0 Posted July 11, 2005 I doubt it can be the door of an elevator...however, it's a great great picture........ Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted February 2, 2007 Superb abstract of one of the jewels of Gaudí's architecture. And, indeed, it's the elevator door's handles... designed by Gaudí himself. Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted February 4, 2007 Thank you, Alberto. This is one of my favorite pictures that I have ever taken. Although, I must admit to copying someone else I saw attempting it. I also must admit that Laura, as she almost always is, is correct. Indeed, it isn't the elevator shaft. It's actually the railings and glass of the central shaft Gaudi built to let light into the building. When you are kneeling and looking at this, the elevator is directly behind you. Link to comment
