I can't pin it down, but there is something about this picture that I really like. Nice job.

This has great atmosphere. She should love this. The play of the shadows and the light is wow. So...details?

This was shot against a white paper background. Something new my son and I are experimenting with. No lights on as our model (my son's girlfriend Melissa) was actually just taking a break at this point. The lights and shadows are from a candle holder we were experimenting with. I believe this one was not posed at all. The color version was real yellow tinged, so I just desaturated it in photoshop. Not really any other details to share. Melissa thinks it looks very cool, artsy fartsy... very New York. Glad you all like it too!

Regina, this is a very cool shot! The model's correct: the image has a very cosmopolitan feel about it. I love the shadows and the subject's demeanor. All in all, very evocative. 7/7

Well done, Regina! I like that you can see just a bit of her eye in the shadow on her face - it wouldn't be the same without it. The shadows behind her are very interesting and give some movement to the composition.

The shadows seem to represent different aspects of the model, and more than just on the physical level...

Such a nice work Regina ... I do very well understand why this is the favourit of the 'model' her self. Special use of light and shaddows and she looks a bit inscrutable.

Very different and interesting work you have been doing lately and you are doing it well.

Thanks for such positive feedback. This looks pretty nice printed and hanging in her new apartment. I like how the shadows behind her almost look like wings...

Regina, you're advancing and diversifying in leaps and bounds. I really like the experimenting you're doing here and the high contrast works for me. I look forward to what you'll come up with next.
