The north of Norway sits above the Arctic circle, and in late Springit does never get dark, with a sunset which lasts for hour and thenbecomes sunrise.

That was a perfect sailing night on the Imram, and I thought hersilhouette as a foreground was the way to go to catch the scenery.

Does this picture work for you in conveying the energising feeling of24-hour daylight, matched with the energy of the sailboat beatingagainst the wind? Comments, advise, suggestion and ratings are mostwelcome.

Salvatore, another interesting shot. The long evenings come through, but no hint for me of the wind (was there any?)! Nicely framed the main and rigging between the island though!

Welcome back.

It's a very good shot and, from my perspective, you do get the atmosphere: dark, but not dark enough for the detail in the deck or the mainsail to have vanished; windy, enough for the boat to lean, but not enough to show whitecaps on the water; and, also, cool, with the sun off the boat, but hinted at in the pink of the clouds.

Composition seems very strong - the cloud bank balances the mainsail; the right hand hill is echoed in the more distant left hand hill; the mast, sail and riging establish diagonal and off-vertical lines which add a sense of movement to the shot (and slightly echo the edges of the hills). And the exposure's perfect. Best, Jeremy

Salvatore, I'd like to echo what Jeremy has said above. You've nailed the exposure--good detail in the boat while still keeping attractive colors in the sky. With the tilt of the boat, I feel like I'm right there on deck. This is a really good shot! Not much to critique here except your heavy black borders . . . .

Nice sailing scene once again Salvatore, Imram looks like a very solid and marine boat, I like the composition you developed here, tacking and traverse winds makes it really funny to shot on deck with leaning boat, I agree with previous comments about exposure, there are no lost details, alltough is a bit oscure overall for me, w/ a bit of postprocess, adjusting levels to match light captured ,this photo gains for me, I attach preview of what I say, hope you dont mind, saludos and favourable winds!

Salvatore, there isn't a lot left to say other than I prefer the original. Composition and capture are both excellent and more so is the emotion that it conveys. It is a wonderful feeling at that time of night on a boat and you have conveyed it very well

Yes,it does,Salvatore. You have admirably captured the illusion of motion and magic of light in the sky. Best regards.

Salvatore, Visiting your site is like going on an adventure. Wether it's sailing, mountain climbing, or hiking the frozen tundra. You always manage to capture the feeling of a place. This image is no exception!

Nice image, I can almost feel the fresh air on my face...! The boat silhoueted but not all the details lost, is an add, and a non-flat horizon line, makes it look more dynamic. My minor objection to almost all your collection are the very thick frames: in some cases accentuates saturated colors, but in most of them makes me fell like "too shrinked". Anyway, that's your choice to uniformized the collection, I guess.

Another wonderful shoot.

Like the other one from this series is amazing.

The tilted boat, the red clouds, the light, all is perfect for me.
