I think there's too much dark at the top - I'd crop some. And it's a pity that the trampet is not whole. But despite that this is a very powerful image.

This is real nice. I think the black and white grainy effect works well with this photo. I wonder if it would look better with more detail on the trumpet's 'bell' (front part) showing? Just a thought.

I tend to agree it was better if the trumpet was moor lighted but you cant win it all :) .

There was a very poor light at the spot . Glad you liked it . Thanks again - Alon

Great job, Alon! I like the mood, the angle and the light. B&W works excellent, here!

Fantastic image, really! I love jazz and I am really touched by this image! The smoke, the lamp the face, I can nearly hear the jentle and smooth tzzz of the brush, rough contrabass ... oh, it's so nice...

Very 40-50s, wonderfully fit the jazz mood - beautiful picture!

Oh, and I disagree with the first comment. I wouldn't change a single pixel.

Excellent photo. I suppose that in a large print it would be wonderful. I think that the space on top of the image helps a lot and gives originality making it somehow more than a typical jazz shot. I would have burned or something the white spot on top (maybe) to see the picture without it.

I like this alot and certainly wouldn't change the dark area. I think it's appropriate for the theme and graduates nicely into the smokey light. His t-shirt and forehead are a little hot but I bet he was too. Sure puts me in the mood for a little Mellow Miles.

Oh, I have such a soft spot for JAZZ!! You have captured this image beautifully, Alon! The composition is exquisite. The B&W - perfect for this shot. This...I would be proud to hang on my wall!!! Respectfully, Tina
