Excellent subject but IMHO a smaller aperture would give you better DOF so that the foreground bird would not be blurred. Still a decent work.

May be right. But this picture was taken in the morning at am 6.30. so light was so limited. I have to made wider aparture. (ps. my lens is nikon 80-200 f 2.8)

I like it very much. The man is inside the picture, I can feel spaciousness.

I believe that the small DOF adds depth to this image. No need for the whole think to be in focus - on the contrary, the abstract figures of the birds emphasize the central theme.

 

It is a wonderful image, that required fine observation on your part.
