robertbrown 1 Posted July 6, 2005 Thanks. This is from my second day trying to shoot "street" stuff. Link to comment
mb81 0 Posted July 6, 2005 Nice job Robert. Holgas are great cameras. Try shooting with Tri-X 320 rather than the 400. It tends to give a bit more contrast and a little more of a punch to Holga photos. Try some portraiture with it. Just ask some random people to stop for a sec and look at the camera. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 6, 2005 Hey that parade looks a bit like the redmond parade which looked a bit like the grants pass parade. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted July 6, 2005 Mike, I'll try the 320 and see how I like it. Thanks for stopping by. Knicki, the parade featured lots of military and emergency vehicles, a few kids on horseback, a few old cars and that's about it--not even a marching band. They were all throwing candy which was a hit with my kids. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 8, 2005 Hmmm...waiting on a whole lot a nuthin eh? A nice little slice of small town life. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted July 8, 2005 Thanks, Laurie, for your comment. The parade was really pathetic--not cute at all. No kids on bicycles. No marching band. Nuttin'. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 8, 2005 not even little baton twirlers? even redmond had those. At least you had trucks. Link to comment
jeremy freeland 0 Posted July 11, 2005 I like how the toning and the darkening around the corners create an old-fashioned feel to the image, and how this contrasts with the shaven headed big guy and the very 2000's truck. Depth of field is nice too, and I like how the paint stripe on the street sets the eye off down the line of spectators. Best, Jeremy Link to comment
