Hi Manolis,

this is the old wing of the "Ion Mincu" institute of architecture - it has 3 wings: old, intermediate and "new"; however, even the new one is pretty old now.

This old wing is from turn-of-the-century, and the style is called "neoromânesc" (new-Romanian). About that time in many countries there were movements with styles inspired from the popular (peasant) architecture or some local historical ones (here: Brâncovenesc) like this (in Hungary for example the "national romantic").

I attach above a photo of the old wing (it is looking NE), on which the door is placed.

I don't recall having seen her open - the door to the new wing is usually used.

kind regards

Maria

Dear Maria,

This is a beautiful photograph. Do you enhance [or digitally alter] your photographs? I took the liberty to alter your work [changed the perspective]. I truly hope you are not offended.

Many many thanks for the kind comment. Apologise for not replying earlier.

No, I do not digitally alter my images (if I do so, quite modestly, like colour balance or stiching together a panoramic view), also because my skills in this regard are modest ...

I like very much your version!

Many thanks again and see you around

Maria
